New Review Forms Available: Pen, Ink and Paper Products!

Greetings Fountain Pen Users/Collectors and those interested in evaluating fountain pens, inks, or paper products.  With a lot of extra time on my hands lately, I started out with a desire to create/build a repository for information about my pens, inks, journals, notebooks, pads of paper and loose paper stock (reams).  I began by designing the database and soon moved on to creating new review forms in order to organize the input data for each of the items.

While working on these forms, it came to me: “Why not make them in such a way that I can share them with others who may be interested so they can also use them for their own personal collections, etc?”  So began the process… using ideas & suggestions from some very knowledgeable people at FPN (The Fountain Pen Network).

Final iterations of each form can be found available here:

Of special note:  These forms do not include every conceivable characteristic possible in each category.  They do however, have most of the proverbial bases covered.  In addition, they also include blank areas where one can fill in the other characteristics not already listed elsewhere.  I made a big attempt at making these as versatile as possible and limited each form to just one page for ease of use.

Please feel free to comment on each of the review forms.  Either here, on the FPN or one can email your comments to me at:  reviewforms@sproctor.com.  Please no spam, flames, etc…  I cannot promise that I will make any changes right away unless they are critical ones, though this should not stop you from making suggestions for the next release sometime in the very near future.

Each user has the option of either printing the form out and filling it in by hand or filling it out electronically and then printing it with data already on the page.   Every effort was made to ensure these interactive forms have optimized file sizes.  This was accomplished to improve loading times and performance.  I apologize in advance for not being able to add the functionality of being able to save a form with data filled in on it.  To get around this issue, you could scan it and save it that way.

Many, many thanks for allowing me to share these review forms with you.  I sincerely hope that you find them useful…
